Rudy Gestede believes the warm welcome he has received from all connected with Blackburn Rovers is the reason why he has settled in so quickly.
The 25-year-old joined Rovers on loan from Cardiff City at the end of November before making the move a permanent one at the beginning of January. Signing a three-and-a-half year deal.
Gestede scored his first Ewood goal on Saturday to follow up his winner against Leeds, as Rovers defeated Doncaster 1-0, to move up to eighth in the Sky Bet Championship.
Speaking to Radio Rovers, the striker said: "Since I arrived everyone has made me feel so welcome, so I feel like I am at home and feel good when I am out on the pitch.
"I am very happy to score my first home goal, we won so it is a very good day for us.
"Jordan gave me this goal it was a very good assist, I knew he was going to do it so I just put myself in the box and I knew the ball was going to come."
Rudy admits that it wasn't an easy game to play in on Saturday, but claiming all three points is the only importance.
"I think the first half was easier for us, and in the second Doncaster did well. It is a very good win," added Gestede.
"We were very happy at the end in the changing room because it is an important win.
"It has been a hard few weeks so it was very important to win. For the confidence it is very good to win.
"The Championship is like this, sometimes you can play, sometimes you have to work hard and we have done that. We have shown that we are able to do it."
