Gary Bowyer knows that maintaining Rovers' current run of results is key for a successful second half to the season.

Rovers have kicked off 2014 with back-to-back wins after victories over Leeds United and Doncaster Rovers.

Now as Bowyer prepares his squad for a trip to his old stomping ground Nottingham Forest, he knows that Rovers have to continue to pick up points wherever they can.

"We've got to continue the form that we are in with the ball and without the ball and see how many points we can pick up between now and the end of the season," said the manager.

"The aims for us have not changed, it is about everyone doing their job and then at the end of the season seeing where we are when we've picked up as many points as we can possibly get."

Rovers travel to the City Ground with just one defeat in their last eight and looking to make it three away wins in a row. And Bowyer feels his side are improving all the time.

Bowyer added: "I think the mentality has got better, it has always been there but it has improved.

"The most pleasing thing is that the players, and the younger players especially, are starting to show a lot of signs of maturing. Plus I think the big man, Rudy Gestede, has made a big difference to us.

"Throughout the season we have been competitive and have played some good football, for us now it is all starting to come together a little bit but we are totally aware that this is a massive challenge for us on Saturday.

"We aren't going to get carried away, we've said that all this season."

Tickets for Saturday's match are currently on sale priced £25.00 Adults, £18.00 Seniors (aged 65+), £12.00 Under 18, £6.00 Under 12. Call the ticket office on 0871 222 1444 to book.

Tickets will be available on the day of the game but prices rise by £2.
