Alan Judge has today joined Brentford on loan until the end of the season.
Since re-joining Rovers in the summer, the 25-year-old has found first team opportunities limited, making 12 appearances in the first half of the season. So has jumped at the opportunity to join the League One leaders until May 4th.
Boss Gary Bowyer has allowed the Irishman to move on loan but insists that Judge remains very much part of his long-term plans.
"Judge is a great lad and credit to him he is desperate to play," said Bowyer.
"It isn't about the money for him, he loves playing football, but at the moment with what we have got he hasn't been able to force his way in.
"It is a move that suits all parties, it will allow him to get some games under his belt for a good team. We'll monitor his progress and hope that he does well for them."
Judge has linked up ahead of the Bees weekend match against Port Vale at Griffin Park. Brentford have the option of extending the loan further if League One play-offs are required.
