Gary Bowyer hopes that the long throw abilities of defender Tommy Spurr will give the Doncaster defenders headaches.
The full back's bullet deliveries from the sidelines last weekend had Manchester City in all sorts of problems defensively with the manager calling for more of the same this Saturday.
"You are talking about world class defenders and at times they weren't quite comfortable with it," said Bowyer of Spurr's throws.
"I always remember going to Stoke City under Tony Pulis with Rory Delap. I remember going for the first time and every time the ball went out of play the crowd got really excited and I was looking for something else going on in the game.
"It was only a throw, but the noise that the fans generated before Rory had even got there to pick the ball up was unbelievable. That impact that it had on the opposition played a massive part in Stoke City scoring loads of goals.
"Now I think we've got something similar with Tommy and I think our crowd can play a massive part in that as well.
"If you've got anything in your squad that can help you achieve an outcome on the Saturday then you've got the use it."
For the player himself, he is bemused by the attention his throws have garnered, particularly after the draw with Manchester City.
"It is all everyone talked about after the City game, my throws," said Spurr. "I just throw it in there!
"It is something that the gaffer said when I first signed. It is a bit different and sometimes you need to just put it in the box and keep teams under pressure.
"It can be used in a different way rather than constantly trying to pass and break teams down that way, sometimes you just need to put it in there and get the second ball and try and put it in like we did against Watford."
