Gary Bowyer could welcome David Dunn back in the squad to face Doncaster Rovers this Saturday.
The Rovers stalwart hasn't featured since the win over Yeovil Town before Christmas with a hamstring strain, but after getting a full week of training under his belt, he could come into contention for the Roses clash at Ewood.
Whilst the treatment table is thankfully lighter than it has been, Dunn is the only player likely to return ahead of this weekend's match.
"David Dunn has trained all week so we expect him to be in contention for the squad," said Bowyer.
"Todd Kane (thigh) is still another week or two, Corry Evans (ankle) trained very well with the physios for the first time really today. He's ben off with a cold but trained really well with the physios. So we hope he might join in at the back end of next week.
"Dickson Etuhu (ankle) is a bit away but he is starting to progress nicely."
After the performance of Paul Robinson in last weekend's cup draw with Manchester City, Bowyer admits he has something of a selection on his hands.
Robinson returned to action to great effect after 13 months out, with Bowyer now having to choose between the former England man, Simon Eastwood and Jake Kean.
"His experience and his voice was massive in terms of organising our defence," said Bowyer of Robinson. "We knew that it would be invaluable to us.
"He's been bright as a button this week in training, he still has quite a bit to do, he is aware of that but the game has given him a massive boost."
