City replay no distraction

10 January 2014

Boss Gary Bowyer insists his squad's sole concentration is on this Saturday's league match against Doncaster Rovers.

Rovers may have an FA Cup 3rd round replay against Manchester City next Wednesday, but that is firmly off the agenda until Saturday's Ewood clash with Donny is out the way.

Speaking on Thursday, the manager said: "We've got to just concentrate on Doncaster. The Manchester City game on Wednesday will take care of itself after that.

"This Doncaster game is an important game for us, we embrace the FA Cup but this is more important for us because it is the next game and the business end for us."

Bowyer again stressed that that Saturday's opponents will be prove to be tough opponents for his young side. Rovers go into the game full of confidence after the FA Cup draw with Manchester City, but the manager knows they'll need to keep their feet firmly on the ground for another challenging match.

"Expectation is a dangerous thing," said Bowyer.

"People, wrongly, will be expecting us now, because we have drawn with Manchester City, to go unbeaten until the end of the season. But it just doesn't work like that at all.

"That is the message that we have been saying to the players, just take each game as it comes and focus heavily on Doncaster."

Tickets for Saturday's match will be on sale right up until the 3.00pm kick-off. Prices are from £15 Adults, £10 Seniors and £5 Juniors. Why not avoid the matchday queues and book online today at and collect from the Blackburn End collection point on the day of the game.
