A fruitful few days

23 January 2014

Gary Bowyer has returned to Brockhall after spending time with the owners in India.

The Rovers boss jetted out to Pune after the weekend match at Nottingham Forest for another pre-planned get together.

"It was a very good trip," the manager told Rovers Player. "It had always been scheduled and discussions took part in terms of how we can take the club further forward.

"They were good discussions and hopefully we can put one or two things into place."

One of the topics of discussion was the January transfer window, with the manager hopeful of adding one or two new faces to the squad.

"Again the owners reiterated the fact that Jordan Rhodes isn't for sale and that we want to keep hold of him," added Bowyer.

"We need to bring a couple in to just help with our numbers and then we'll take it from there.

"All along it is about bringing the right type in. If the right person is out there with experience then great, if it is a younger one who is keen to come in and learn and get better then that is something that we'll explore as well.

"Everybody is in the same boat, everybody is looking."

Rovers are back in action this Saturday when Derby County are the visitors to Ewood Park.

Tickets will be on sale up until the 3.00pm kick-off with prices from £19 for Adults, £12 Seniors and £7 Students. Book online today at www.onerovers.co.uk and collect your tickets from the Blackburn End collection point on the day of the game.
