Boss Gary Bowyer has been delighted at how fast latest signing Luke Varney has settled in at the football club.
The striker had barely met his team-mates before making his debut for Rovers after joining on loan on the morning of the Middlesbrough game a fortnight ago. However after a full week training with the lads, Varney is now comfortable in his new surroundings.
"You'd think Luke had been with us for a long time, he has settled in ever so well," said Bowyer.
"He knows several of the boys already so he has fitted in magnificently well."
Bowyer believes the addition of the former Leeds United frontman will add some much needed agression to his squad.
"He looks good in training, he looks like he is going to add a little bit of bite to us that is for sure," added the manager.
"He's a powerful lad, he's an agressive player, and he has the ability to score and create goals.
"He's got that bit of agression, sometimes we can be a bit nice to play against, so Varns gives us a bit more agression."
Varney could make his first start for Rovers this Saturday away at Reading. Tickets for the match will go off sale at Ewood at 4pm on Friday. Supporters should note that whilst tickets are available at the Madejski on the day of the game, prices will rise. Full ticket information can be found here.
