Rovers striker Leon Best has today joined fellow Championship outfit Sheffield Wednesday on an emergency loan.
The 27-year-old, who had two loan spells with Wednesday earlier in his career, will remain with the Owls until March 12th.
Signed from Newcastle United in July 2012, the Republic of Ireland international missed much of last season through injury and has been unable to hold down a regular starting role since his return to full fitness.
Best has scored twice – away to Derby County and Bournemouth this season – in 16 appearances for the club.
He has been given permission to play in Sheffield Wednesday’s FA Cup fifth round tie at home to Charlton Athletic tomorrow.
