Gary Bowyer is expecting a close, tight, contest when Rovers take on Middlesbrough at the Riverside on Saturday.
Rovers go into the match on Teesside in good form after claiming their tenth clean sheet of the season last time out in their 2-0 win over Blackpool, whilst Middlesbrough have kept seven clean sheets from their last nine league games.
"It was a good, professional performance against Blackpool and it has given us a lift in working towards Middlesbrough," said the Rovers boss.
"I don't want to put the mockers on it, but we have kept ten clean sheets out of the season.
"Obviously you start with a clean sheet and both teams have done very well this season in maintaining that."
Bowyer has admired the work that new Boro boss Aitor Karanka has done since arriving at the club in November, and he knows that Saturday's match won't be easy.
"The manager has a lot of experience having worked with Mr. Mourinho and we know that it is going to be a tough place to go anyway," added Bowyer.
"He has brought some top players in. He has brought two in from Chelsea in Chalobah and Omeruo, and obviously Danny Graham.
"He has brought Premier League players in so it is going to be a difficult game for us.
"For anybody that saw the game at our place, it was a tough game that was only settled by a fantastic strike from Lowey.
"We are expecting more or less the same when we go there."
