Gary Bowyer believes Saturday's match at Reading will test their play-off chasing credentials.
The game at the Madejski Stadium sees two in-form teams do battle, Rovers unbeaten in their last four, the Royals with three wins during that time.
Rovers have picked up five points from their last four away games with the manager stressing the importance of continuing to add to their tally.
"We've got 16 games left, the last one of which being on May 3rd, so it is going to be a busy couple of months," said the manager.
"They are in a fine vein of form, especially at home so we are aware of the challenge that it presents to us.
"It is like going to QPR for us, it is a good opportunity to test ourselves and hopefully come away with the three points. If not then definitely one.
"It is the same message that we have every week, we are approaching the game in the same manner as we always do, we are going out to win the game.
"That is the main focus, there are 48 points to play for, so we've got to finish the season strong and see how many points we can get. I don't think you can look at it any more than that.
"We are playing Reading, they will want a win to keep their run going, we'll want a win to try and keep our run going. That is it in a nutshell."
Tickets for the Reading match will go off sale at Ewood at 4pm on Friday. Supporters should note that whilst tickets are available at the Madejski on the day of the game, prices will rise. Full ticket information can be found here.
