Gary Bowyer believes the free weekend will allow Rovers to get some niggles out of the way and get good week of training under their belts.
Rovers are without a match this Saturday as their intended opponents Brighton & Hove Albion play Hull City in the FA Cup on Monday night. So the extra time will allow plenty of preparation for the important Sky Bet Championship clash at the Madejski Stadium against Reading on February 22nd.
"We have one or two who have little niggles," said the Rovers boss.
"Adam Henley and Rudy Gestede were both carrying knocks at Middlesbrough and there are one or two others as well.
"We have also had a little bit of a sickness bug with one or two this week so this gives us a chance to regroup and get some work done on the training pitch to be ready to go again against Reading."
Tickets for the Reading game are currently on open sale with Adult prices from £25. See the full ticket information for this game here.
