Blackburn Rovers boss Gary Bowyer knows they have to do better this Saturday when they take on Brentford at Griffin Park.

Rovers take on the high-flying Bees looking for a response after last week's late defeat at the hands of Sheffield Wednesday.

The loss against the Owls was their first in ten outings, with Bowyer demanding the side put the result behind them and to quickly get back to winning ways.

"We've got to bounce back, we've got to have a reaction," said the Rovers boss.

"That is what we have spoken about this week, the players know that and to their credit, after every defeat they've had this season, they've really bounced back and put a performance in, so we'll be looking for them to repeat that.

"This week the lads have been magnificent, they've really trained well and the standard of the performances in training has been top-notch to be fair to them.

"They've not sulked and I think that is the measure of the group that we've got that, they've not felt sorry for themselves and they've gone about trying to put it right.

"The players get on well - both on and off the pitch, they are a real tight-knit group now and they get after each other and they make demands of each other and they were honest last week to say it wasn't good enough.

"The spirit and the character that we've had over the last number of weeks has been tremendous and it is something that they've built on and improved on."
