Gary Bowyer is delighted to welcome Jason Lowe back into the squad for tomorrow's match against Brentford.

The midfielder hasn't featured for Rovers since the end of August after suffering a stress fracture to the foot.

The Rovers boss admits that Lowe's versatility has been missed, with his return to full fitness coming at the perfect time.

"His energy levels and the way he goes about the game is something that we've missed," said Bowyer.

"He's got an unbelievable attitude, he loves the club, he's been through everything with this club over the last couple of years.

"To burst on the scene as he did as an 18-year-old and then experience relegation from the Premier League, to come through that. He's never changed, he's just got hungrier and hungrier to improve."

Elsewhere, the Rovers boss will make a decision on the fitness of others before finalising his squad that will travel south.

Last week saw Tom Cairney (ankle) and Adam Henley (back) added to an injury list that included Matt Kilgallon, Josh King and Tommy Spurr, but the manager wouldn't be drawn as to who could return.

"We've made progress on certain people this week," said Bowyer.

"We are going to give everybody as long as possible.

"Certainly before training on Friday we'll have a better idea as to who is going to be fit and available for us."
