Go up another level

5 December 2014

Rovers manager Gary Bowyer feels there is more to come from his side as the prepare to take on Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

After last week's dramatic draw against Middlesbrough, the blue and whites return to Ewood Park looking to stretch their unbeaten run to double figures.

But Bowyer knows it will be far from easy against an Owls side that have an impressive record on their travels, having lost just once on the road this season.

"They've not conceded many goals and Stuart Gray has got them well-drilled," said the Rovers boss.

"They do pose a threat going forward, they've got some pace in wide areas and they've got a big target man like ourselves.

"We are fully aware of the challenge but it is about us raising our standards of our performances, and putting demands on the players to go up another level.

"I feel from last Saturday we can go up another level. They've got the character, they've got the strength, they've got the desire, they never know when they are beaten, but we want them to be better than we were in spells in the game last week."

Tickets for Saturday's match against Wednesday are on open sale up until the 3.00pm kick-off. Prices are from £21 Adults, from £13 for Seniors and Students, and from just £8 for Juniors aged 17 and under.
