Confidence is high

5 December 2014

Rudy Gestede believes the high confidence in the camp can propel the team further up the table.

Rovers currently lie sixth in the Sky Bet Championship and Gestede, the club's leading goalscorer with 11 goals this season, feels that the squad have the ability and the belief to do better.

Last week's last-gasp equaliser against Middlesbrough saw Rovers stretch their unbeaten run to nine matches, and, increased the squad's confidence further.

"With the last result I think the confidence is at it's highest," said the striker.

"We are sixth in the table, everybody is close behind, but in front it is close as well. We are going to catch points and see what we can do.

"We've got plenty of games to play, so it is not finished. Being sixth is good for the confidence and we need to carry this and keep playing, keep believing we can do better than this.

"We know we've got the ability to be even higher in the table, we need to keep doing what we are doing and improve the little things to get better and hopefully everything is going to be alright.

"I think there is more to come, good stuff to come."
