A strong team ethic

5 December 2014

Gary Bowyer believes that impressive team performances are the reason why individual displays have been highlighted this season.

For the fourth consecutive month this campaign, Rovers have had someone nominated for the monthly league awards.

Tom Cairney was shortlisted in August, Ben Marshall in September, the manager himself in October and Rudy Gestede for November, and although none have been winners, the Rovers boss feels it reflects well on how the team is doing.

"I think all the nominations are always a reflection of the team," said Bowyer.

"They pick out individuals but you won't get us straying from the fact that it is a team effort.

"I think that is one of the big things that we've got now, it is a team first attitude that we've got, not an individual first."

Rovers take on Sheffield Wednesday at Ewood Park this Saturday with tickets on sale up until the 3.00pm kick-off.

Tickets are priced from £21 Adults, from £13 for Seniors and Students, and from just £8 for Juniors aged 17 and under.

Book online today at www.onerovers.co.uk and collect your tickets from the Roverstore collection point.
