Gary Bowyer says the squad have moved on from the disappointment of Tuesday night's Capital One Cup exit.
Rovers fell at the first hurdle of the cup competition, losing 1-0 at home to Scunthorpe United, but the manager hopes the game is well and truly out of their system by the time they face the Seasiders on Saturday afternoon.
"Tuesday has gone, we've dealt with it," said the Rovers boss. "Their day off got cancelled and we were all in on Wednesday and that was the end of it.
"Fortunately for us we are positive people, we are honest people, we took our medicine on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, all hands up, no excuses.
"It is how you respond, that is the challenge now, how we regroup and go on.
"Now we are really excited and looking forward to a local derby. It is a great place to go, the atmosphere is always good there and we are really looking forward to it."
