Jason Lowe believes they'll have to be at their best to beat Blackpool this Saturday afternoon.
Rovers will be out to put in an improved showing following their midweek cup exit at the hands of Scunthorpe United, with the match against the Seasiders presenting it's own challenges.
Lowe was the only player on show at Ewood on Tuesday night to keep his place from the opening match of the season against Cardiff City, and he knows that Rovers will need to put in the sort of performance against Blackpool as displayed verses the Bluebirds.
Lowe said: "That is the beauty of football and this league, the games come round thick and fast, so there's always an opportunity to bounce back.
"It is a derby game so that is an incentive on it's own. We want a positive result at the weekend to put it right. We have to learn from it and move on.
"We got a decent point at home against Cardiff. I thought we were excellent, I thought we dominated the game, so we've got to take that into the game and I'm sure we'll be fine if we can.
"Any game will be a tough game, from the outside there'll be more expectation with the situation at Blackpool but we've just got to focus on what we've got to do and that is to do our jobs to the best we can and the full potential on the day.
"If we can then I'm sure we can get the result. We just need to focus on what we are doing."
Rovers Player will be providing full match commentary from 2.45pm.
