Make it a day to remember

15 August 2014

Gary Bowyer wants to reward the Rovers support by giving them their first three points of the season against Blackpool.

The fans have snapped up their Bloomfield Road allocation meaning Rovers will be roared on by some 2300 supporters on Saturday.

The Rovers boss was full of praise for the travelling fans last season and is delighted that large numbers are already following the team this campaign.

"Our lot have sold out the allocation which is fantastic," said Bowyer.

"I spoke quite a lot last season about the fantastic away support that we had, and now in our first away game this season it is continuing.

"It is a good venue, I like going there, there's always a good atmosphere, I'm looking forward to the day.

"We've to really go and stamp our authority on it, get on that ball and start playing and creating chances, continue where we left off last Friday."
