Gary Bowyer expects Blackpool to provide a tough challenge but insists it is all about what Rovers do when they visit Bloomfield Road on Saturday.
Jose Riga's side have had to endure an eventful summer, but Bowyer doesn't believe that it will have any affect on this weekend's all-Lancashire clash.
The Seasiders lost their opening match of the season last Saturday against Nottingham Forest, but the Rovers boss was impressed with what he saw from Blackpool.
"I went and watched them last week and I'd agree with Stuart Pearce's comments after the game that they were better than Forest in the second half," admitted Bowyer.
"I think there's a little bit of kidology if you like about how small their squad is, but we won't be fooled by that.
"The are a decent team, the players that they've already assembled there are good players. Some with Championship experience. We've done our homework with every signing that they've made.
"We know it is going to be a tough game and it is their first home game as well.
"But it is about what we do and how we go about it. How we play, how we press, how we defend and how we attack. It is all about us."
