Rovers could be without Corry Evans for the weekend clash with AFC Bournemouth.
The Northern Ireland international landed heavily after a collision with Norwich City's Joshua Murphy in the final moments of Tuesday's night's game and is considered doubtful for Saturday's match at Ewood.
Both Chris Brown and Matt Kilgallon are making progress from knee and back injuries respectively, but neither will be available for the the Cherries encounter, whilst Tommy Spurr is still a few weeks away from a return with a groin injury.
"We are just going to have to assess him," said the manager about Evans.
"He came off right at the death but we'll assess it and see how it goes.
"Chris Brown is doing ever so well so we are hopeful that he' joins back in next week and then we can crack on from there with him. We hope Matt Kilgallon can join in next week as well."
