Country calls

After the weekend match against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Rovers could have six players away on international duty.

The league fixtures will take a beak as qualifiers for Euro 2016, international friendlies, Under-21 and Under-19 matches take place.

Rovers captain Grant Hanley will link up with the Scotland squad for their Euro 2016 qualifier against World Cup winners Germany.

The Scots face the arduous task of taking on the world champions on home soil on Sunday September 7th in Dortmund.

Josh King's Norway are at Wembley on Wednesday 3rd September for an international friendly against England, before they have a Euro 2016 qualifier against Italy in Oslo the following Tuesday evening.

Corry Evans has been selected for the Northern Ireland squad for their opening Euro 2016 qualifier. They face Hungary in Budapest on Sunday 7th September.

At Under-21 level, Darragh Lenihan will link up with the Republic of Ireland squad who play their final qualifier against Germany at the Erdgas Sportpark, Halle, on Friday 5th September.  Whilst Sam Lavelle is with the Scotland Under-19 squad for their friendly against the Czech Republic on September 2nd in Greenock.

Dean Rittenberg has been placed on standby for the England Under-19 squad for their friendly match against Germany on Monday 8th September in Oberhausen.
