A tough challenge from the Cherries

22 August 2014

Boss Gary Bowyer is expecting another difficult match when AFC Bournemouth visit Ewood Park on Saturday, kick-off 3.00pm.

Until Tuesday night, this weekend's opponents were the last team to inflict defeat on Rovers, and Bowyer, who believes the Cherries are one of the dark horses for promotion this season, knows that it will be another tough match.

"It is going to be a hell of a challenge," said the Rovers boss. "Personally both them and Middlesbrough were my outside tips to surprise people this season and I still believe that.

"I think that Eddie Howe has done a fantastic job, it doesn't surprise me at all, the brand of football that they play, he's done a fantastic job there.

"They play a style of football where they try and keep the ball but it is about us trying to impose our style of football on them and stop them from getting into a flow.

"In any Championship game you are never going to dominate for the ninety minutes, it is about being organised and disciplined in defence and then being effective when you have the ball.

Tickets for Saturday's match against AFC Bournemouth are from £12 Adults, from £9 Seniors/Students and from £5 for Under-17s. Buy online today at www.onerovers.co.uk and collect from the Blackburn End collection point on the day of the game.
