Gary Bowyer believes several players have missed out on the chance of a place in the starting line-up against Blackpool this weekend.
The manager was far from happy with with his side's display as Rovers crashed out of the Capital One Cup, losing 1-0 at home to Scunthorpe United.
Bowyer made ten changes from the side that drew with Cardiff City on the opening day of the season, but few impressed on a disappointing evening.
"We've got to bounce back now," Bowyer told Radio Rovers. "We've got a fantastic game on Saturday - a local derby.
"It could have presented some with an opportunity to get in the starting XI so that is the disappointing thing.
"The reaction that we get and the performance we get against Blackpool will dictate how long they'll have to wait for to get another chance.
"We are out of the cup and we've missed an opportunity to have another game at the back end of August, so they might have to wait a while. That's football."
