Ewood Park will host another prestigious fixture this Sunday.
Rovers welcomed the England and Scotland schoolboys to Ewood for a Centenary Shield international on April 11th and the club is now gearing up for the final of The FA Carlsberg Sunday Cup.
The 50th anniversary final will be contested between Oyster Martyrs of Liverpool and Humbledon Plains Farm of Sunderland here this Sunday April 27th (kick-off 2pm).
Merseyside’s Martyrs will be looking to retain the title they won at Burton Albion last year, while it will be a first final appearance in almost 25 years for Humbledon Plains Farm, who last lifted the trophy in 1990.
Martyrs have been a powerhouse in The Sunday Cup over recent years, winning the silverware in both 2011 and 2013, as well as a runners-up medal in 2009.
Tickets are priced at £5 for adults and £1 for under-16s and will be available from the Jack Walker Stand turnstiles on the day.
