More to come, more to give

18 April 2014

Gary Bowyer feels there is more to come from his young squad as the season draws to a close.

The Rovers boss has been pleased with the way the squad has come together over the course of the season but he believes there is plenty of room for improvement in the final four games of the season and beyond.

"When you calm down and you look at the group that we've got, they're an honest bunch," said Bowyer.

"They are really working hard and over the course of the season they have put a lot of pride back into the club.

"But they aren't finished yet, there is more to come from them. And when you consider that, over the period of the season, that there is more to come from them and how well they've done so far, then the demands are there for them to up their levels again.

"I look at the group, they're young group, but I believe and have every confidence that there is more to come from them.

"They are an honest bunch and they've got more to give, and when you consider where we've come from and the fact that we feel there is more to come then that is massive progress and they deserve the credit.

"But they've got to kick on again, no resting. The players are aware of what is expected and what is demanded of them and it is showing in their results."
