Tommy Spurr feels that Rovers are finally on the run they've clamoured for all season.
Rovers face Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough on Saturday off the back of a seven-match unbeaten run which includes back-to-back wins in their last two outings.
Gary Bowyer's side haven't yet won three in a row in the league this season, but Spurr, who made over 200 appearances for this weekend's opponents, says the squad has the confidence to change that record.
"We've been talking about this run that we've needed to go on for a long time," Spurr told Radio Rovers.
"Although we have drawn few, we aren't getting beat and we keep picking up points.
"We've just put two good wins together so if we can back it up on Saturday at Hillsborough it will be a massive week for us and keep us right in the hunt. We definitely aren't out of getting sixth place yet.
"Anytime that you put a run together is a good time but with the games running out you need to be picking up maximum points and we've managed to do that against teams above us in Ipswich and QPR."
Spurr believes Rovers are carrying the right momentum and confidence, and with just three weeks left of the league campaign, the view amongst the players is they can stay unbeaten in the remaining games.
"There's a belief that we can go the rest of the season and win all the games," added the defender. "I think we are in a good vein of form, there's a feeling that we aren't going to get beat.
"You get that vibe when you are in the changing room before the game that we are just going to go out there and we aren't worried about getting beat because we know that we are organised and we've got good players to win games and keep picking up points.
"We need to stick with what we've been doing and hopefully come out on top and win every game."
