Gary Bowyer was delighted that Jordan Rhodes notched goal number 51 in a Rovers shirt as they defeated Ipswich Town 2-0 on Saturday.
The Rovers top scorer grabbed the all-important opening goal just past the hour mark, a sublime left-footed strike from Rudy Gestede's knock down.
In midweek Rhodes reached the 50-goal landmark for the club, but the Rovers boss believes his effort against Town was up there with his best.
Speaking to Radio Rovers, Bowyer said: "It was a great ball from Rudy that put him through but he's got the confidence to take it first time with his left foot.
"It was an outstanding finish from Jordan. That was his 9th goal for the club with his left foot, he's up to 51 now.
"He's got his targets for the season to still reach and we'll just see how we go."
Rhodes and Rovers are back in action at Ewood Park this Tuesday night when Queens Park Rangers are the visitors. Tickets are on open sale with prices from £15 Adults, £10 Seniors and £5 Juniors.
