A top game against a top team

8 April 2014

Gary Bowyer is anticipating an exciting encounter when Rovers take on Queens Park Rangers at Ewood Park this Tuesday night.

With both sides needing all three points to further their promotion aspirations, it promises to be an intriguing contest, one that the Rovers boss is relishing.

"There are six games left and whilst we have the opportunity to get 18 points this group of players will want to do that," said Bowyer.

"It will be a difficult game, they've a top manager - a Premier League manager - with Premier League players.

"That is the challenge, we've got to pit ourselves against them and see how far we've come.

"They can still get automatic promotion. They aren't going to come up here on Tuesday night for just a jolly up, they'll be wanting the three points to close the gap on the top two.

"But all we are concentrating on is our ourselves, we've just got to keep our run going, we are six unbeaten now.

"We've just got to make sure that we keep the clean sheets coming and continue scoring goals at the other end as well and piecing it all together like we did against Ipswich.

"After tonight we've got two home games left after that, we've got to keep making sure that we put in the level of performance that we produced on Saturday."

Tickets for the match are on open sale until the 7.45pm kick-off with prices from £15 Adults, £10 Seniors and £5 Juniors. Book online today at and collect on the day of the game from the Blackburn End collection point.
