Jason Lowe was delighted to make a winning return to the Rovers side as they defeated Queens Park Rangers 2-0 at Ewood Park on Tuesday evening.
The Rovers midfielder had missed the last five matches with an ankle injury, but slotted back in with an impressive display as goals from Rudy Gestede and Tommy Spurr secured all three points.
"I think it was thoroughly deserved," Lowe told Radio Rovers. "I thought we were in control of the game for large periods and it feels good to come out on top.
"We were well organised, the two banks of four worked very well, I don't think they had any answers for us. I thought our intensity was very good and I think we thoroughly deserved it."
Lowe felt it was a real team effort with every player playing their part in an impressive win for the team, something they'll have to do for the remaining five games of the campaign if they are to maintain their chase for a top six finish.
"Everybody pitched in and did the job for the team and that is what we'll have to do until the end of the season," added the midfielder.
"To get the three points was very pleasing, it keeps that pressure on and keeps us pushing towards those promotion spots.
"The main focus is three points from every single game, we'll analyse the match, where we've done well and where we can improve and we'll take a lot of confidence into Saturday."
Rovers are back in action at the weekend when they take on Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.
