Working hard for the win

27 September 2013

Gary Bowyer is eager for Rovers to claim their first three point haul of the season this Saturday.

Rovers have been frustrated on their travels this new campaign with two draws and two defeats so far, but as they prepare to face newly promoted AFC Bournemouth, the manager is looking to put that right.

"You look at the performances we've had away from home and we are disappointed not to have picked up an away win," said the Rovers boss.

"It is something that we have been striving for in training this week because last week we were striving for that clean sheet and we got it.

"So obviously we are aiming for our first away win.

"In the games that we've played I think we've competed and finished the games strongly.

"Our last away game was Leicester and we had the last attack in the game and could have nicked something from there.

"So I think that we have to keep going with our philosophy and look to improve on that.

"Sooner or later we are going to put everything together again away from home and we'll pick up that first win and there's no better time than Saturday."

Supporters who haven't yet purchased their tickets for Saturday's match can do so on the day, cash only from the turnstiles. Prices are £22 for Adults and £12 Concessions.

Rovers Player will be providing full match commentary from the Goldsands Stadium from 2.45pm.
