Praise for Jordan

20 September 2013

Gary Bowyer has been delighted with the way Jordan Rhodes has performed this season.

Rovers' star striker has been restricted by a troublesome hand injury, but that hasn't stopped him netting six goals in his last four outings.

As Rhodes looks to extend that goalscoring run against Huddersfield Town at Ewood Park on Saturday, manager Gary Bowyer said: "I've got to praise Jordan again because he's playing with this hand injury that would restrict most people.

"But you wouldn't think that looking at his work-rate and how he has gone about the game in his last two matches.

"Obviously people talk about the flukey goal against Burnley but he's there pressing and closing down so he's earned that bit of luck.

"When he gets the penalty the other night he's the coolest player in the stadium and we hope he can add to it on Saturday."

Tickets for the Huddersfield game are on open sale up until the 3pm kick-off, priced from £19 Adults, £12 Seniors and £7 Juniors. Book online today at and collect your tickets from the Blackburn End collection point.
