There were mixed fortunes this weekend for the players out on loan.

In the SPL, David Goodwillie played 71 minutes as Dundee United lost 1-0 at home to Celtic. Anthony Stokes grabbing an 87th minute winner for Neil Lennon's side.

In League Two Anton Forrester couldn't maintain his goalscoring run for Bury, but the Shakers were amongst the goals again with a 4-1 win over Cheltenham Town. Forrester played 77 minutes at Gigg Lane.

Chesterfield hit top spot in the division with a 2-0 away win over ten-man Portsmouth, but defender Ryan Edwards was an unused substitute.

Jack O'Connell played the full match for Rochdale once again as they held Oxford United to a 1-1 draw at the Kassam Stadium.

Matthew Urwin was in goal once more for Stalybridge Celtic, but they slipped to a 1-0 away defeat to Workington.

Curtis Haley's Bamber Bridge beat Staveley Miners Welfare 1-0 at Irongate in the preliminary round of the FA Cup, they face Ossett Town in the next round.

Edinho was an unused substitute in Whitehawk's 2-0 loss away at Sutton United, whilst Nuno Henrique played no part as Arouca claimed their first win of the season with a 1-0 win over Rio Ave.
