It's all about momentum

13 September 2013

Scott Dann has stressed the importance of continuing the upwards momentum with a positive result over Burnley this weekend.

Rovers go into the Turf Moor encounter in good heart off the back of impressive 5-2 and 4-1 wins over Barnsley and Bolton Wanderers, and now the Ewood captain wants that form to be taken on the road this Saturday lunchtime.

"Hopefully we can build on the last two performances and put a good run together," said Dann.

"All the lads are really looking forward to it off the back of two good home wins so now it would be nice to go away and put in another good display.

"In this league it is all about momentum and in the last couple of week's we've had a couple of good performances and got amongst the goals.

"We all know that we've scored a lot of goals in the last two games but it isn't going to happen all the way throughout the season.

"There will be games where we need to win 1-0 and dig in and win in different ways.

"That is the way you grow as a team and it is going to be vital come Saturday as it is going to be a tight game.

"We know it will be tough, it is going to be a high tempo game, hopefully we can get the right result and come out on top.

"To get the win will mean a lot to everyone, for the fans it is a big game for them, they'd like to see us beat our rivals and we'll be doing everything we can to make sure that happens."

Tickets are no longer on sale for the game but fans can watch the match in Blues Bar, or listen online via Rovers Player.
