The Under-21s will have a couple of trialists on show when they take on Southampton in their Barclays Under-21 Premier League match this Monday night.
For attackers Victor Zapata-Caicedo and Brendon Daniels will add to Rovers' forward options against the Saints on the south coast.
Zapata-Caicedo is a former Tottenham Hotspur striker who had trials with Sunderland at the end of last season, whilst Daniels is available after being released by Crewe Alexandra in the summer.
The duo are joined by fellow forwards Dean Rittenberg and Devarn Green in an attacking line-up.
John O'Sullivan captains the side after recovering from an ankle knock in Rovers' previous outing against Everton. The Irishman limped out of the Ewood Park encounter early on after sustaining the injury, but he'll take his place in midfield this evening.
The development squad go into tonight's clash looking to arrest a run of five games without a win, but it won't be an easy task for Rovers against a Southampton side that have beaten Aston Villa, Leicester City and Liverpool so far this campaign.
ROVERS: Raya, Fernandez, Bauress, R. Hanley, Daly, Tumwa, Green, O'Sullivan, Rittenberg, Zapata-Caicedo, Daniels.
Subs: Haley, Killip, Pero, Edinho, Paulo Jorge.
Kick-off is at 7.00pm.
