Rhodes' points focus

1 October 2013

Jordan Rhodes wants Rovers to build on Saturday's excellent win over AFC Bournemouth with two good results in their next two games.

Rhodes was amongst the goals once more at the weekend, scoring twice as Rovers defeated the Cherries 3-1.

Rovers now face Watford at Ewood Park this Tuesday, followed by a trip to the DW Stadium to take on Wigan Athletic on Sunday.

"We've had a half decent start to the season and hopefully we can continue that good performance and follow it up with a couple of results against Watford at home and Wigan away," said the striker.

"Those teams are going to be right up there come the end of the season, they are going to be in and around where we will want to be.

"It will be fantastic to pit our wits against them and if we come away with a half decent points total from them two games then we'll know that it has been a good start to the season."

Tickets for tonight's match will be on sale up until the 7.45pm kick-off.

Prices are from £15 adults, £10 seniors and £5 juniors.
