Gary Bowyer reports that his players are chomping at the bit to get back in action this weekend.
Rovers have had almost a fortnight to stew since their last gasp defeat to Wigan Athletic, and the manager wants those frustrations to be taken out on Charlton Athletic at Ewood Park on Saturday.
"Training has been great this week," said Bowyer.
"The Wigan game seems a long time ago and the players are just geared for playing now on Saturday and the game can't come quick enough for us.
"The break has allowed one or two to recover from some niggles and it has allowed us to get some quality work done on the training ground.
"The competition is fierce at the moment and the positive for us is that everybody is reacting in the correct manner and making training competitive.
"Everybody is giving a display of 'pick me, this is why I should play', so for us that is great."
