More to come from us

18 October 2013

Boss Gary Bowyer insists there is plenty of areas to improve upon as Rovers return to action against Charlton Athletic this Saturday.

The manager is pleased with how the team have grown in the early stages of the campaign, but insists there is still more to come from his young group.

"From a manager and a coaches point of view you are working daily with them to keep on improving," said Bowyer.

"They have all got areas of the game that they can improve on individually, we are just working very hard with them and they are working very hard.

"You see signs of it, down to ten men against Wigan the players are gutted because they've done enough to get something out of the game.

'So that is part of the mentality that has changed. They are a good honest group and they are working very hard, we just need to keep striving to get that.

"It is certainly work in progress that is for sure. I think there is a bit more to come from us."
