Gary Bowyer believes his young side have grown up a lot in recent weeks, and will continue to do so.
The last week of action had seen Rovers travel to AFC Bournemouth to win 3-1, beat promotion favourites Watford 1-0 at Ewood, before battling with ten men at Wigan in last Sunday's 2-1 loss.
The squad has had an average age of 22 for the majority of games played so far this term, with the Rovers boss finding out more about them every time they step over the white line, and he's convinced that they'll keep improving as the season progresses.
"This week we have learnt a hell of a lot about them," said Bowyer.
"Going to Bournemouth, beating Watford at home and the Wigan game threw another challenge to them and you saw a lot of positives for the club.
"The lads that we've brought in are prepared to fight and die for each other and I thought they did.
"Now they've got to grips with what is required then all they can do is keep getting better and keep improving.
"If we are putting on performances like we have done this week then we'll be hopeful of doing something."
Rovers are back in action after the international break with Charlton Athletic the visitors to Ewood Park on Saturday 18th October.
