Confidence is getting higher

3 October 2013

Tommy Spurr believes the confidence in the camp can help Rovers to continue to climb up the table.

Tuesday's 1-0 victory over Watford saw Rovers move up to 8th in the table with the team in good heart after their recent run of results.

"I hope we can put a run together like we have started now," Spurr told Radio Rovers.

"I think it is one defeat in seven games, so if we can keep picking up points and be hard to beat, which I think you've got to start from, then everything else comes from that.

"There are a lot of younger players and the confidence is getting higher with the more points we get and the more goals we score."

Spurr joined Rovers from Doncaster over the summer and he has quickly settled into life in Lancashire.

The full back has featured in every league game for Rovers this campaign and has impressed with his energetic displays.

"I'm absolutely loving it," added Spurr. "Since I left Sheffield Wednesday I always wanted to come to another big club and I'm just relishing every opportunity to play.

"I've to try and take my chance because it is a big chance for me personally to show that I can play in a team like this."

Spurr and Rovers are back in action this Sunday when they face Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium - kick-off 3.00pm.

Tickets for the game will go off sale at Ewood Park at 1pm on Saturday, but they will be available on the day of the game from the DW.

Tickets are priced at £20 Adults, £15 Seniors and 16-21 year-olds, and £10 for Under-16s.
