A points industry

26 October 2013

Gary Bowyer has stressed the importance of putting a run of results together.

Rovers go into today's match against Blackpool looking to get back to winning ways after last week's loss at Charlton Athletic.

The Rovers boss feels that his young squad have done okay so far this season, but now is the time to start notching a run of wins.

"I'm pleased with how we have gone about games, but I'm not kidding myself, it is a points industry and we know we've got to get some more ponts on the board," said Bowyer.

"It is a work in progress, we keep telling the players to just keep concentrating, to keep working on the basics because we are going to go on a run soon and we've got to try and make sure that that run starts on Saturday.

"You've just got to look at the teams that have put a run together, how quickly they go up the table and how quickly it can change the other way.

"I remember teams coming here in November last year and being in the play-offs and then surviving on the last day.

"So that is how quickly the league changes, momentum is a wonderful thing."
