Rovers welcome back Grant Hanley to the squad for the trip to the south coast to face Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.
The Scotland international is available for selection after completing his three-match ban following his second off at Wigan Athletic.
Boss Gary Bowyer has somewhat of a selection dilema with Hanley, joining David Dunn and Dickson Etuhu in returning to the first team squad.
Speaking on Thursday, Bowyer said: "Obviously we've got Grant back as his suspension is up, and one or two injuries have recovered well so full credit to the medical staff.
"Dickson got a full ninety under his belt at Leicester on Monday so that was good for him and us. Adam Henley played another ninety minutes and David Dunn has had a full weeks training.
"Ruben Rochina has joined in his first session today and he looked good as well, although it is too early for him.
"Leon has trained as well this week, so There are bodies coming back and it is going to make the squad very competitive. Last week we were down to our last 18, now we have a selection headache. Those are the challenges that we face every day."
Defender Matt Kilgallon has shaken off the kick to the hip that forced him off during last week's win at Middlesbrough, whilst fellow defender Tommy Spurr, who was replaced after just 20 minutes with an ankle problem, could be a surprise inclusion.
"Tommy has been first class," added Bowyer. "When he did it I expected him to be out for a good number of weeks.
"But he's a top professional and the way he has looked after himself and recovered he has given himself a shouting chance for Saturday which is incredible really."
DJ Campbell serves the second of his three-match ban, whilst Corry Evans and Paul Robinson remain on the sidelines.
Tickets for Saturday's match go off sale at Ewood Park at 4pm on Friday. Supporters should note that there are NO tickets on sale on the day of the game.
