Rovers starlet Keira Walsh has been named in the England squad for the forthcoming UEFA Women’s Under-17 Championship.
England will host the finals between November 26th and December 8th, taking the tournament outside of Nyon, Switzerland, for the first time since its inception in 2007.
Keira has been included in a 18-player squad, who will join up for a training camp at St George’s Park this weekend.
The Rovers Centre of Excellence midfielder will then hope to be named in Lois Fidler’s starting XI when the finals get underway later this month.
England face Italy at Telford in their opening group game on November 26th, before coming up against Austria at Chesterfield on November 29th and Portugal at Burton Albion on December 2nd.
Germany, Scotland, France and Spain make up Group B, with the top two teams from each pool progressing through to the semi-final stage, which take place on December 5th.
