Midfielder Tom Cairney insists Rovers need to build on last week's hard-fought win over Middlesbrough with another encouraging performance against Brighton this weekend.
Rovers travel to the south coast boosted by the three points over Boro, with Cairney believing that now is the time to kick on in the league.
"It was brilliant to get the three points," Cairney told Rovers Player. "They made it hard for us in that first 20 minutes.
"Then we changed it and put Josh up front and I think we looked a threat, it was a great feeling to get that three points.
"We've now got to go to Brighton on Saturday and everybody knows how hard it is to go down there, but we'll go full of confidence and try and bring three points back."
Last week's win over Middlesbrough sees Rovers just a handful of points off the play-off positions, and the Rovers midfielder feels that the team are doing well considering all the squad changes over the summer.
"It is good to say how young the squad is," added Cairney. "How many new players have come in, it is a bit of a transition for the club.
"The fans have that good feeling back at Ewood Park, it feels like it is definitely turning around under the manager and it is good to be a part of it.
"Everyone is together, there's a lot of banter, you need that in the team environment to do well, it is looking good."
