Scott Dann believes that Rovers can go into today's game against Middlesbrough in good heart off the back of last week's draw at Blackpool.
Rovers left it late to claim a share of the spoils at Bloomfield Road, but the Rovers captain feels that is showed the great spirit within the camp that they never gave up.
Last Saturday's display only earned a point so Dann now wants Rovers to put in a good home display and earn all three points against Boro.
"Getting a late goal like that, to get a point away from home, is always a big help and it will push us on for the Middlesbrough game next," said the defender.
"We'll take the positives from Blackpool into the Middlesbrough match, we need to go and take the game to them and make sure that the performances that we are putting in at the minute, we need to start turning them into points.
"We need to make sure that if we are going to be there or there abouts come the end of the season we need to start picking up more points."
One area Dann feels the team need to improve upon is scoring the first goal. Rovers have opened the scoring just four times this season, meaning they are regularly having to battle back from a losing position.
'When you concede the first goal in the championship it is always tough to get back into the game," added Dann.
"We need to stop giving ourselves a mountain to climb. The sooner we start doing that, the sooner we'll start creeping up the table.
"When we've played a couple of teams at home they have tended to sit behind the ball. We need to start breaking teams down and making our chances count.
"The confidence is still high even though we feel we should have had a few more points. We've got to go into the Middlesbrough game, take the game to them and try and make sure that we come away with three points."
