Gary Bowyer has called on Rovers fans to create a wall of noise against Leeds United at Ewood Park.
Saturday's crowd will be swelled by some 7000 Leeds United fans making the trip over the Pennines, but the Rovers boss is backing the home supporters to make their voices heard.
"We need the supporters this week because they are bringing 7000 Leeds fans over," said Bowyer ahead of the game.
"So it is up to our supporters to take that challenge on and make sure that they win that one off the pitch and we'll try and win it on the pitch."
With such a large crowd anticipated, Bowyer believes the match will give off the impression of a huge cup tie, something the players are relishing.
"We are delighted with it," added the manager. "Speaking to the payers and talking about the excitement of the game because of that and the atmosphere that it will be brining.
"It will be a slightly different type of game, it will be like a cup-tie and our players are relishing that, so it is up to our supporters to make themselves heard and drown the Leeds fans out."
Rovers supporters who haven't yet purchased tickets for Saturday's match are advised to get them as early as possible as large queues are anticipates at the ticket office.
