CofE to hold summer trials

21 May 2013

Blackburn Rovers’ renowned Centre of Excellence is on the look out for football’s female stars of the future.

The club is holding open trials for girls aged 9-17 at Darwen Aldridge Community Academy throughout June.
Over the past few seasons, Blackburn Rovers has become one of the top-performing Centres in the country, producing over a dozen players who are now competing on the world stage with England.
The Centre's current Under-17 team have also reached the final of the FA Girls Youth Cup Final where they face Arsenal at the MK Dons Stadium on Sunday May 12th.
With highly-qualified and experienced coaches, all players are provided with a technical and educational programme designed to support players’ needs to reach their full footballing potential.
In partnership with the Lancashire FA, Rovers are the only club in the area to work on behalf of the Football Association to provide and deliver the opportunity for players to progress into regional trials and ultimately the England youth teams.
In order for the Centre to continue to develop and grow, Rovers are looking to attract the top talent from local clubs to take part in the Centre of Excellence assessment period.
