Time to dig deep

14 March 2013

Michael Appleton has called on his players to bounce back in Sunday's Lancashire derby with Burnley.

The Rovers boss knows that it is imperative that the disappointment of Wednesday's cup exit to Millwall doesn't dwell ahead of a hugely important match at Ewood on Sunday lunchtime.

"It is my job to make sure to make sure that we stay tall and stay strong," Appleton told Radio Rovers.

"I need to protect the players as best as I possibly can and I'll be doing that over the next three or four days.

"We are going to have to dig really deep now, we have a big game on Sunday.

"We'll be trying to make sure that we come out of the blocks and firing on all cylinders against Burnley.

"It is one from a fans point of view that they'll demand the same effort that the boys put in against Millwall but that the result will be better."

Tickets for the 12.30pm match with Burnley are currently on sale to Rovers supporters with a database history of purchasing tickets.

Prices are from £25 Adults, £17 Seniors and £12 Juniors.

This is an all ticket match, there will be no sales on the day of the game.
