The perfect game

16 March 2013

Michael Appleton believes Sunday's match against Burnley is the perfect game to provide an end of season pick-me-up.

Rovers might go into the game off the back of a seven-game winless run, but the manager is convinced that a win over their near-neighbours can do the team a world of good in the remaining matches of the 2012-13 season.

"The players know where we are at the minute, it has been a difficult time since probably our best achievement this season in terms of the victory over Arsenal, so we need to dig in," said the Rovers boss.

"There are ten games to go and in this period and I can't think of a better hand-picked game to start it with.

"The fact that it is at home as well just makes it even better.

"The fans will be right behind us on the day which means it will be a great atmosphere. We are playing against a side who aren't in particularly great form themselves so I'll be reminding the players of that as well.

"It is a game we are all very much looking forward to."

Tickets for the 12.30pm match with Burnley are currently on sale to Rovers supporters with a database history of purchasing tickets.

Prices are from £25 Adults, £17 Seniors and £12 Juniors.

Supporters are reminded that this is an all ticket match, there will be no sales on the day of the game.
